World App brings an exciting new feature to the table: Mini Apps. Built with web technologies like React, these apps can be browsed, explored, and installed directly from the in-app store within World App, creating a dynamic ecosystem of user-friendly applications.

Now, all Mini Apps can easily integrate DePay to handle seamless crypto payments within their platform. The first to do so is World Shop, a Mini App developed by Tools for Humanity. This integration allows users to spend their WLD and USDCe on World Chain for merchandise, showcasing the power of DePay's streamlined payment solution within the World App ecosystem.

Under the Hood: DePay’s Breakthroughs Powering Seamless World App Integration

DePay is running a V3 protocol release candidate on World Chain, packed with cutting-edge functionalities that we’re excited to roll out across all supported blockchains soon. These enhancements are designed to eliminate friction—no more clunky approval processes or unnecessary signatures. With this update, users can perform transactions in just one step: hit “Pay” and it’s done. The heavy lifting is handled by DePay’s payment protocol and its deep integration with World App’s wallet.

This seamless experience applies no matter which token users choose for payment. Leveraging Uniswap’s Permit2, SignatureTransfers, and some magic under the hood, we’ve crafted a process that’s not only easy but also enhances security. Here’s how it works in detail:

DePay knows exactly which tokens the merchant wants to receive. Once a customer connects their wallet, DePay scans for available assets and determines the best payment option using real-time routes and quotes from decentralized exchanges. It then suggests the most optimal payment method, while still giving users the flexibility to switch if they prefer.

After a selection is made, DePay prepares the full transaction payload, including auto-conversion details and Permit2 signature requirements. This is seamlessly handed over to World App, which takes care of any necessary Permit2 allowances and SignatureTransfer signatures behind the scenes. All the user sees is a simple payment confirmation simulation. No more pre-approval transactions. No more complex signatures. Just smooth, instant crypto payments.

The result? A payment experience that’s superior to traditional online payment methods. Users are automatically presented with the best payment option based on the assets in their wallet, leading to significantly higher payment conversions and a frictionless process from start to finish.
